Nissan is reportedly in the process of developing an urban electric vehicle that will be more advanced than the Renault Twizy.
Speaking in an interview, Nissan’s head of product planning Etienne Henry said that the model will combine agility of a motorcycle with the all-weather protection of a car. He went on to say that the Twizy is also trying to combine these, but there were optimizations possible with this kind of vehicle.
Not much detail is available as of now about the model but it could borrow some cues from the distinctive Land Glider concept which could lean into corners like a motorcycle. The executive further declined to confirm if Nissan was working on a production version of the Land Glider but did state that that was a very interesting concept with very challenging and meaningful technology.
