Recently Nissan and Muscle Milk Pickett Racing have come together to compete in the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.
With a sole aim to return to its glory days of sports car success from the late 80s / early 90s, Nissan will support the team by providing them with drivers as part of the NISMO Global Driver Exchange. As a result of this arrangement, Nissan’s Alex Brundle will join Muscle Milk Pickett Racing’s Lucas Luhr and Klaus Graf at the Rolex 24 at Daytona. The drivers will also get a chance to use the Muscle Milk Pickett Racing ORECA 03 which is powered by an undisclosed Nissan engine.
Nissan Global Motorsport Director Darren Cox said that they were glad to welcome Muscle Milk Pickett Racing to the Nissan family and look forward to having their official drivers learn from such a successful team. He further added that they were also very proud to have brought Nissan back to the forefront of U.S. sports car racing. He also stated that their company has an incredible pedigree dating back to the old IMSA championship and that he was pretty certain that Nissan and NISMO will add to that history in the coming years.
