The first Jaguar XF donning the British police force badges and sirens patrols the roads of the Midlands in the UK. This comes a year or so after the carmaker disclosed that an XF is getting a police package.
Seven units of the Police spec Jaguar XFs were bought by the Central Motorway Police Group to take care of the motorways across the West Midlands, Mercia, and Staffodshire.
All of the high performance Jaguar XFs are the Diesel S version which runs on 3.0L engine that gives out 275 horsepower and has a peak torque of about 443 lb-ft. The police cars are still very efficient with a fuel mileage of 42 mpg on UK standards and a carbon dioxide emission of 179 grams for every kilometer.
Prior to the acquisition, the police force across UK has been studying the benefits of getting the XF for their law enforcement fleets.
The XF is treated with a special package of a light bar mounted on the roof, side alley torch, front grille flashing LED, blue LED flashers on the side, and flashers of red and blue LEDS for the rear cluster of lights, and a Home Office police pack.
The seven Jaguars will be immediately fielded to secure the Midlands.
