One died and two others were injured after an early-morning crash in north St. Louis. It took place just after midnight near Union and Bircher.
The driver of a Chevrolet Impala was travelling westbound on Interstate 70 when he took the exit on Union at high speed, according to police.
He hit a Ford Explorer that was travelling north on Union.
The driver of the Impala was taken out of the car as the car caught fire.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the explorer and a passenger from the Impala were admitted to the hospital.
