Police discover drugs, paraphernalia in man’s car after 100 mph pursuit

A West Lafayette man was arrested after he supposedly led police on a high speed chase.

The incident occurred on State Road 26 about 11 miles east of Lafayette right after 12:30 Monday morning.

Police stated the driver, 39-year-old Floyd Treece, topped speeds of 100 miles per hour before he struck his car and was taken into custody.

Investigators stated that they discovered meth and syringes in the man’s car.
