Porsche will supposedly introduce GTS versions of the Boxster & Cayman duo at this year’s Beijing Motor Show in China in April.
Both the models are set to go on sale shortly after making public debut and will feature changes such as modest revisions to both bumpers, a new sports exhaust system, rear diffuser and 20-inch alloy wheels taken from the 911 Carrera S. The fixed roof Cayman GTS will also be distinguished by its redesigned LED daytime running lights.
Output of the 3.4-liter engine will increase by 15 HP (11 kW) compared to the Boxster and Cayman S while a manual transmission is going to be standard. Customers will also have an option to configure these GTS versions with a PDK but it will come at an extra cost. It is alleged that the cars are going to come as standard with Porsche’s Active Suspension Management system.
The UK-spec models are expected to cost an extra 4,000 GBP over the Boxster/Cayman S which means the Boxster GTS will kick off from around 50,000 GBP whereas the Cayman GTS will start from 52,700 GBP.
