Price Strategy: Ford tags 2011 Mustang with lower sticker price compared to Chevrolet Camaro

The battle of the American muscle cars are on as Ford tries to lure buyers of its competition by selling the 2011 Mustang lower than the Chevrolet Camaro.

The official price differs by $535 which can give you a good option for an upgrade. The sticker on the 2011 Mustang is at $22,995 while the V6 Camaro is tagged at $23,530.
The Mustang will also undercut the competition at the V8 trim when you look at the base GT going for $30,495 and the GT Premium that will go for $33,695.

The prices are inclusive of the shipping charge. The new mustang sports aluminum blocks for all units and the engine is now coupled with an automatic six speed gearbox. The base unit will have a V 3.7L engine while the higher option are the GTs getting a 5.0L V8.

It will be nice to hear how Dodge will react to this development with their V6 Challenger boasting of 300 horsepower?
