Range Rover LRGT Concept

Very few get a chance to work with the Advance team at the Advance Design Studio- yes the same team which gave us the Iconic Range Rover Evoque! And this Guy, designer Thibault Devauze, worked with the same team as an Transportation designer during his Internship.

The goal of this whole project was to come up with such a car that would be beyond the definition of Luxury, more than a coupe, and with a hefty price tag of more than 100,000 € which apparently would be loaded with Jaguar-Land Rover’s most powerful engine till date.

If the Sources are to be believed, then this Concept is intended for the U.S markets with a PowerPack Engine, which consist of a V8 5.0-liter supercharged engine with 540 HP (397 kW) and 534 lb-ft (725 Nm) of torque.

The concept Car is believed to be 4850mm long, 1995mm wide and 1510mm tall, with a total weight of 2095 kg (4618 pounds).

Quoting the designer, Thibault Devauze he says “During my internship I had the chance to work on the DC100 concept. I was working on six different projects when my chief asked me to start my own.” He also adds “I had six weeks to think about a personal project to show at my degree. I started with sketches and together with two modelers we came up with a first CAD model in one week-end. This first model was helpful for trying out different combinations of shapes and volumes”.

It is said that if this concept prevails, which apparently is an crossover between a 4-door coupe and a classic SUV, or when ever it comes out, it would be a very big drawback to german automakers BMW, because this car is conceptualized to bring in a new rival for the BMW X6!
