Renault slaps its badge on the Duster facelift

Renault has recently introduced the Duster facelift, following the launch of its Romanian cousin a few months ago.

Back in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show that was held in Germany, Dacia had showcased a moderate facelift for its Duster off-roader and now the parent company Renault has launched its own version. As expected the changes are limited that includes the obvious badge switch and also a slightly altered front grille which instead of Dacia’s honeycomb pattern now features a dual-slat arrangement.

Talking about power specs, chances are the 1.2-liter TCe gasoline turbocharged four-cylinder engine is quite likely being carried over. The motor generates an output of 125 HP (92 kW) that is sent to the front wheels or both axles through a 6-speed manual transmission. Talking about fuel efficiency, in this configuration, the Duster facelift will have a fuel consumption of 6 liters / 100 km (39.2 mpg US or 47 mpg UK).

Well we are not very clear on what the company has thought of and what is the idea behind launching the Duster facelift but it is going to compete with its own company is rather weird.
