Saleen Automotive reborn, promises a new supercar & high-performance EV

Steve Saleen is a well known name who has built high-performance super cars such as Mustangs and the S7, but he’s finally back in control of the company that bears his name.

With the recently completed merger, Saleen Automotive now consists of Saleen Automotive and SMS Signature Cars. Earlier, Steve Saleen had resigned from Saleen Automotive in 2007 and went on to start SMS Signature Cars a year later.

The newly reconstituted company will offer a varied range of cars including upgraded muscle cars, performance cars and automotive aftermarket specialty parts and lifestyle accessories. If that was not enough, Saleen also confirmed they are developing a new super car as well as electric and zero-emission vehicles.

Steve Saleen stated in a statement that he was pretty excited to become a publicly-traded company and enter into the next stage of growth for the auto sector by growing the retail presence into new markets in the U.S.
