Six Nissan Z packs enthralls crowds at Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion

Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is the name of the event that was held on August 12th to 15th and venue Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, Calif. The main event being the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Nissan made Z. and the company displayed six of their historic racers on this occasion.

Other vehicles that were also put up for display are a Brock Racing Enterprises Datsun 240Z, a Bob Sharp Racing Datsun 240Z Chassis #00006, a Bob Sharp Racing Datsun 240Z IMSA GTU, a Nissan Motorsports 300ZX, a Nissan 370Z BRE Tribute Coupe, and a 2010 Nissan 370Z 40th Anniversary Edition, a model limited to only 1000 units.

These vehicles have all at times or the other appeared in some racing event and brought laurels to itself as well as the company which made them. Some of them have participated in the SCCS National Championships and even brought the prize trophies at LeMans. There was on display, in addition to these Z cars, other vintage Nissan race cars like #46 1970 Datsun 510 in the “1966 – 1972 Trans Am under 2 Liter Cars” class and a pair of 1985 Nissan GTPs (#83 and #84) owned by Toluca Lake Classic Motorsports.
