SRT to Develop Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Rival

SRT is planning to develop a car which would be the competitor to just released Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. SRT boss Ralph Gilles in an interview stated that they are developing a car which would be an answer to Z/28 and would come with various performance upgrades including an uprated V8 engine.

Most likely the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 rivaling Dodge Challenger would mostly utilise a more powerful variant of the 6.4-liter V8 engine fitted to the current Challenger SRT8 392 model. This engine will then be able to produce an impressive 470 hp which is just short of the 500 hp delivered by the brand new Chevrolet Camaro Z/28.

The only difficulty that SRT may face is bringing down the weight of the car as it is too heavy and this means that they will have to remove unnecessary stuff and also fit it with stiffer suspension and grippier tires to make it lot more fitter.
