Subaru has recently announced its plans to offer a WRX RS40 in the market of Australia.

Designed to celebrate the company’s 40th anniversary in the country, the model would feature a WR blue exterior and 17-inch alloy wheels with a gold finish. Other goodies that from part of the model include special badging, a strut tower brace and an STI front and rear spoiler.

In terms of the interior, the changes are quite limited but include an individually numbered plaque, a short throw shifter and Recaro sport seats with blue Alcantara inserts.

Talking about the power output, just like the standard model, the WRX RS40 is also powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter boxer engine that would be able to generate 265 HP (195 kW) and 343 Nm (252 lb-ft) of torque.

The production of the units would be limited to just 300 units and if we talk about the pricing, reportedly it would start off from $ 44,490 AUD.

Well the celebration is in style but let us wait and see the response of the model and how far the celebration of the auto maker is successful.
