The Indian automaker, Tata Motors, turns out to not only be an expert in creating affordable car with a compact size. At the 2015 Geneva Motor Show that is currently taking place in Geneva, Switzerland, the company has actually shown off a sport utility vehicle (SUV) model. Dubbed the Hexa, this SUV concept from India shows that Indians do know how to build a capable and attractively looking SUV as well.
The SUV in question is coming with 6 seats altogether and it features quite a modern design. One thing that deserves a thumb up is that this SUV from India does not copy the design of any SUVs from the blue continent, Europe. The overall design comes from the Tata Motors itself. Speaking of the car, however, it takes advantage of the Aria chassis, which has also been used to build a pick-up truck model.
Under the hood, the Tata Hexa SUV concept hides a capable 2.2L engine that runs on diesel for fuel. With this engine, customers who spend their hard earned cash on the Indian SUV are going to benefit from a total power output of 154 HP and total torque of 400 Nm. In addition to that, the car is also coming with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) drivetrain. Yet, if all those features still do not sound quite enough to attract people to buy the SUV from India, the car has also been equipped with a pair of projector headlamps, automatic wipers and lighting technology, a total of six airbags, Electronic Stability Program, leather upholstery for the interior and also a set of alloy wheels that measure 19 inches in diagonal.
Taking into consideration that the Tata Hexa SUV comes from India, it should prove to be quite an ideal option for those looking for an affordable SUV model. This is even more so for the people from the Asian countries, it seems.
