A 15-year-old Florida boy was imprisoned on car break-in charges after his tough-love mother turned him into lawmen.
WBBH-TV in Fort Myers reports that Lakesha Robinson fingered her boy to Lee County deputies on Tuesday. The teenager, Chris Salters, was alleged of burglarizing 4 cars. 2 buddies of his were likewise busted.
“I want him to learn that he got to be accountable for his actions,” Robinson informed the station.
Robinson acted when she discovered her boy with a cellular phone that wasn’t his.
It had been stolen from a person’s car, the station reported.
She met the victim and he informed her his wallet was likewise stolen. He revealed her unapproved charges on his charge card at a McDonald’s, a convenience store and a Walmart, as per WBBH.
She then discovered a McDonald’s invoice in a bag and talked to the victim once again. The unapproved charge on his charge card matched the quantity on the invoice.
“When he informed me, I just broke down,” she informed the station.
Salters was imprisoned then released.
“I understood she was mad. I might inform how she was talking,” Salters informed the station, referring to his mom. “I don’t like to see my mama cry,” Salters added.
Robinson told she’d like to request a judge to put her son on house arrest so he can’t leave again.
In 2013, The FBI reports there were an estimated 699,594 motor vehicle thefts in USA. Compared to 2012’s figures, car burglaries are on decrease.

The sad part about this is.. since he’s a minor.. SHE could technically be financially responsible if any civil suits are filed by the victims.
