Three dead after plane crashes into home in Hermantown

Three people died after a small plane crashed into a home in Hermantown, Minnesota, on Saturday night.

The victims involved two men from Burnsville and a woman from St. Paul.

They were in their 30s.

The Cessna 172 disappeared from radar right before midnight, and first responders found the wreckage on the 5100 block of W Arrowhead Road.

The plane struck the second floor of a home, leaving a big hole in the roof and side of the building before it collided in the backyard.

No one was hurt in the home.

Identities of the victims were not released.

The crash is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
