Three killed after car crash in Bremerton

Three people were killed after a car crash along Wheaton Way on Saturday morning.

Two of the victims were men from California, identified as a 21-year-old named Alexander M. Ruiz of Vacaville, and a 23-year-old identified as Touder Yang of Merced.

The vehicle had crashed into a building near Wheaton Way’s intersection. Ruiz and Yang, were pronounced dead at scene, and two others were flown to Harborview Medical Center.

A 21-year-old man from New Jersey was in fine condition after getting treatment.

The car was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crossed into the southbound lanes and went airborne before hitting the building.

Bremerton police believe that alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
