Three killed after car crash in Waterloo

Three people were killed after a vehicle and a semi crashed with each other on Monday morning in Waterloo, Iowa.

Police responded to the crash before 10 a.m. to the intersection of Hammond Ave and E Shaulis Rd, where they saw the semi and the vehicle.

The driver and two other people in the vehicle were pronounced dead on the scene.

No information has been shared about the semi-driver.

Officials had the intersection and part of Hammond Ave was closed in the morning. 

The identities of the victims are yet to be released.
