Three people were killed after officials said a driver lost control and struck a canal in Palm Beach County, Florida on Sunday.
The crash took place when a Jeep Wrangler, driven by a 24-year-old identified as Luis Flores, of Lake Worth, was heading eastbound on Southern Boulevard at about 5:30 a.m. and entered the offramp for Congress Avenue before losing control and plowing into a canal.
The force of the collision ripped the roof of the Wrangler off.
Flores and his two passengers, identified as Cindy Castro, 21, of Lake Worth, and Vanessa Saenz, 20, of Coconut Creek, landed in the water.
Dive teams found the bodies of all three victims in the canal.
Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office investigated the crash.
