Three teenagers were killed on Tuesday night after their car hit a tree near Rovigo in Northeast Italy, according to reports on Wednesday.
The crash took place when the Ford Ka they were driving, skidded off the road and struck into tree next to the carriageway at Grignano Polesine.
The victims were identified as Marco Stocco, 18, and Filippo Bettarello and Michael Zanforlin both were 17-years-old.
A 16-year-old is in critical condition.
Rovigo’s mayor Edoardo Gaffeo said on the crash: “The whole community is shocked by the tragedy that took place last night, three young lives have left us because to a car accident and another boy is fighting with all his might. We share the excruciating pain that has hit the families.”
