Two killed after wrong-way car crash on I-44 in Missouri

Two drivers were killed following a wrong-way crash on I-44 near Joplin in Missouri.

The crash happened around 10:35 p.m. Tuesday when one vehicle was traveling in the westbound lanes and it was struck head-on by another vehicle.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

Both individuals have been identified as Janet Edwards, 58, of Sarcoxie and Andrew Wilson, 91, of Neosho.

There are no survivors in the crash.

The Missouri Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
