Three teenagers were killed after a car crash that caused their car to split in half on Staten Island in New York City on Sunday night.
The victims included two girls, aged between 15 and 16, and a 15-year-old boy.
They were traveling in a Ford Mustang westbound on Hylan Boulevard when they crashed with an SUV going eastbound that was trying to turn left onto Richard Avenue at about 8:45 p.m.
The 16-year-old female and the 15-year-old male were pronounced dead at the scene.
A 15-year-old girl succumbed to her injuries in Staten Island University Hospital.
The driver of the Ford Mustang, a 16-year-old boy, was being treated. His condition was critical.
The only occupant of the SUV was the driver who had no injuries.
New York Police Department is investigating the crash.
