Three with ties to DeSales University killed in a car crash in Pennsylvania

The crash occurred when a Dodge Charger crossed Lanark Road and hit a tree at 8:37 p.m. in the 4400 block in Upper Saucon Township, Pennsylvania.

Three people in the car which included two recent DeSales University graduates and one student were declared dead at the scene at 9:38 p.m. by the Lehigh County coroner’s office.

Fourth person inside the car, who is a DeSales senior, was taken out of the care and admitted to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.

DeSales University said those killed in the fiery crash were Sean Hanczaryk, a senior sport and exercise physiology major and a baseball player and two graduates named Nicholas White and Emily Kattner.

The fourth person is Brandon DiChiacchio, who is a senior sport and exercise physiology major and a baseball player. He is hospitalized in serious condition.
