Toyota and Suzuki to begin official talks on partnership

Toyota Motor and Suzuki Motor today stated they have agreed to begin official talks aimed at forging a partnership concerning the two Japanese automakers in shared procurement, green vehicles, IT and safety technologies.

It was revealed last week, that Toyota will announce on Monday regarding its decision on Suzuki partnership.

Toyota and Suzuki informed in October they were exploring a partnership, mentioning technological challenges facing automakers and the want to keep up with consolidation in the worldwide auto industry.
