Two dead after car crash in Saratoga Springs

Two people were killed after a fatal Northway crash in Saratoga Springs, New York on Thursday around 4:16 p.m.

The car driver, identified as Paula M. Ashline, 50, of Hudson Falls, lost control and went off the road after the vehicle exited the roadway and hit a tree and culvert, then flipped.

Both Ashline and her passenger identified as Nicole M. Thaxton, 34, also of Hudson Falls, were pronounced dead at the scene.

It is not known what caused the crash.

New York State Police is investigating the crash.
