Two dead after car crashes and engulfs in Grant County

Two people died following a two-vehicle crash in Grant County, Indiana on Friday morning.

The crash took place around 7:30 a.m when a sedan was traveling southbound on S.R. 37 and drove left of the center into the path of the second vehicle, a Yukon, that was northbound on S.R. 37.

After the two vehicles crashed, one of the vehicles was engulfed while the other one was damaged.

The Yukon was engulfed and it had two occupants who were pronounced dead at the scene.

The other four occupants of the second vehicle were hospitalized with each having minor injuries.
