Two killed after car and truck crash on I-35 in Austin

Two people were killed after a large truck crashed with a car on Tuesday morning on I-35 in Downtown Austin.

Officials responded to the crash around 8:30 a.m. on I-35.

The crash involved a large truck with a smaller vehicle underneath it.

On more car was also hit.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two were admitted to regional hospitals.

Southbound I-35 at 6th Street lanes were closed.

Traffic was detoured to the frontage road at exit 234b.
