Two killed after car crash on Highway 330 in California

Two drivers were killed following a car crash in Highland, California on Monday.

The crash took place around 1:15 p.m. when a 26-year-old woman from San Bernardino was driving a 2013 Blue Hyundai Accent south along Highway 330, near Highland Avenue, after which a 38-year-old woman from Arrowbear driving a 2009 Green Toyota Prius was traveling north on the road and the driver of the Hyundai veered left into northbound lanes and then crashed head-on into the front of the Toyota.

The driver of the Toyota, identified as Andrea Lynn Hilscher, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Hyundai, identified as Jessica Baltierra, was taken to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
