Two people were killed after a car crash near Ybor City on Wednesday morning.
The crash left one vehicle in flames.
A 34-year-old driver of Audi, from Winter Haven, was traveling east at a high speed in the outside lane of I-4, while the driver of a Toyota Camry, was moving east in the inside center lane.
The Audi moved into the inside center lane, but crashed with the back of the Toyota, causing the Toyota to rotate and engulf.
Two men inside the Toyota died in the crash.
Three occupants of the Audi had serious injuries.
The crash took place around 3 a.m. closed the eastbound lanes of I-4 at 21st Street.
The temporary shutdown created backups on the interstate and surrounding roadways.
The crash also caused the closure of the northbound lanes of the Selmon Expressway Connector.
These lanes were reopened around 8 a.m.
The crash was investigated by Florida Highway Patrol.
