Two killed after car crashes into lake in Sunrise, Florida

Two people were killed after a vehicle crashed into a lake in Sunrise, Florida on Tuesday night.

The crash took place around 10:20 p.m. in the area of Northwest 12th Street and Silver Palm Boulevard when the driver lost control and crashed into the lake.

Another young man just walking by tried to save the driver but failed.

Both, 18-year-old driver of a four-door Lexus and a 17-year-old boy who jumped into the water to help out, were pronounced dead at the scene.

No other vehicles were involved in this crash.
