Two killed after four-vehicle crash in Reeves County

Two people were killed after a four-vehicle crash on the morning of November 19 in Reeves County, Texas.

The crash took place when a 2020 Toyota Tacoma, driven by a 30-year-old identified as Juan Orta-Gonzalez of McAllen, was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of IH-20, on the wrong side when a 2015 Toyota Corolla, was traveling in those westbound lanes when it was struck by Orta-Gonzalez. 

This crash caused two more vehicles to crash into the Toyota Corolla in the westbound lanes.

The driver and passengers of those two cars were not injured during the crash. 

The passengers on the Toyota Corolla, an 18-year-old identified as Leilani Ann Orr of Denton, Texas and a 44-year-old identified as Stephanie Ferrer of Denton, Texas, were pronounced dead at the scene. 

The driver of the Toyota Corolla was admitted to Reeves County Hospital in critical condition. 

Orta-Gonzalez was not hurt and was placed under arrest for two counts of intoxication and manslaughter.
