Two killed after multi-vehicle crash in Cullman County

Two people were killed following a multi-vehicle crash in Cullman County, Alabama on Monday morning.

The crash took place just after 7:30 a.m. on U.S. 31 near Cullman County 1282.

Officials said a 56-year-old identified as Carol Janine Pope, of Vinemont, and a 26-year-old from Hartselle were killed in the crash when Vinemont’s car traveled into the opposite lanes of travel, hitting another car and crashed head-on with Onks’ SUV.

Officials said both women were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the second car was not injured.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the crash.
