Two dead, one injured after car crash in St. Clair Shores

Two people were killed and one person was injured following a two-car crash on Sunday in St. Clair Shores, Macomb County, Michigan.

Officials attended the crash of the two cars around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

Upon arrival, officials found a red Buick sedan and a white Jeep SUV both indicating signs of major damage.

The male driver of the sedan was being treated by witnesses at the scene and he was admitted to Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit.

The driver succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

The passenger of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash took place when the sedan was traveling eastbound on 10 Mile Road and it lost control before hitting a utility pole and then hitting a cement barrier before spinning back into traffic and striking into the SUV.

The crash is currently under investigation.
