Two people from Oklahoma were killed after a car-semi crash Monday evening in Pawnee County in southwest Kansas.

The crash took place at 6:44 p.m. at the junction of US-183 and K-156 highways when a 2013 Kia Sorento was southbound on US-183 when it failed to stop at a stop sign.

After that, the Kia then was T-boned by a 1998 Peterbilt semitrailer which was eastbound on K-156 highway.

The driver of the Kia, a 71-year-old identified as Jackie f. Dillard, and a 69-year-old passenger identified as Donna Lynn Dillard, both of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Both were using their seat belts.

The semi’s driver, Nathan Tyler Long, 34, was not injured.

Kansas Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
