Two people were killed on Tuesday night after a car crash involving two vehicles in Woodland Hills, California.

The crash took place at around 9 p.m. in 23100 block of West Mulholland Drive near Valmar Road when the driver of a Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed on Mulholland before rear-ending a Ford Mustang, causing both vehicles to engulf.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fires in both vehicles, but the two occupants in the Mustang were beyond medical help and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota Camry escaped his vehicle.

Police only said that he was a male in his 20s.
