Two killed after wrong-way crash in Atlanta

Two people were killed after a wrong-way crash on the Downtown Connector, in Atlanta, Georgia on Sunday morning.

Atlanta Police attended to a three-vehicle crash near Fulton Street in the southbound lanes just before 3 a.m.

Investigation shows that a driver was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes at the time when they crashed with another vehicle. 

The crash resulted in the deaths of two drivers.

Both have been identified as a 28-year-old named Mecario Harris and a 22-year-old named Demontre Dugger.

It is not known which driver was driving the wrong way. 

A third vehicle struck debris from the crash but the driver left the scene before officers could reach the site of the crash. Officials are searching for this driver.
