Two killed, ten injured after multi-vehicle crash in south Montreal

2 people were killed 10 others were injured following a multi-vehicle crash on the South Shore of Montreal.

The incident took place at 10:30 p.m. in a roadwork zone on the eastbound Highway 30 in Brossard when the driver of a truck did not slow down as he approached a work zone before crashing into seven vehicles in front of him.

The occupants of one car, a 42-year-old woman, and an 11-year-old boy died.

About ten others were injured and were shifted to the hospital for various injuries.

The truck driver was treated for shock.

The eastbound Highway 30 remains shut between Grande-Allée and Route 112. 

Sûreté du Québec investigated the crash.
