Two teenagers were killed and two others were injured after a single-vehicle crash on Monday night on North Adrian Highway north of M-52, just west of Tecumseh in Michigan.
The accident took place after 8 p.m.
Michigan State Police reported a sports utility vehicle was occupied by four seventeen-year-old boys. The SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on North Adrian Highway when it went off the roadway to the west and hit a large boulder in the front yard of a residence.
After that, the SUV rolled over several times and to a stop about 20 feet into a section of the wooded area.
The driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was flown to St. Vincent Mercy Hospital. The front-seat passenger was taken to the University of Michigan Hospital by ambulance and the two rear passengers were pronounced dead at the scene.
Identities of the victims were not released.
North Adrian Highway was closed for about six hours as officials investigated the crash.
