Two minors killed on I-81, Pennsylvania after multi-vehicle crash

Two juveniles were killed on Interstate 81 near Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania after a multi-vehicle crash.

After the crash, the officials closed all southbound lanes of I-81 on Tuesday afternoon.

The closure concerned all southbound lanes from exit 52: US 11/I-76 Turnpike-Middlesex to exit 57: PA 114-Mechanicsburg.

The two children who died in the crash were traveling north through Silver Spring Township around 3:39 p.m. when their driver identified as Gregory A. Nornhold, 35, crossed the grass median and hit two southbound cars.

The identities of the children have not been released.

The southbound side of the highway was closed for more than four hours on Tuesday, as police were investigating the crash.
