Today we saw a spy video with the new 991. Now an official teaser video presenting the all-new 911 (code named 991) 2012 model. The video has been released official by the car manufacturer.

The next generation of the famous 911 model was filmed during some tests in South Africa by Porsche’s cameras.

The new Carrera S, according to the car maker, will develop 400 horsepower and the 3.4 liter engine of the Carrera, which will be shared with the Boxter S, will produce 350 HP. The variants will be available with a seven-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed PDK, with Launch Control available on both.

Porsche also did some changes to the wheelbase too. The 991 gets a longer wheelbase to accommodate its airier interior and the cabin’s materials and console layout will be nicer, too, with more than a passing resemblance to the Panamera’s. It will accommodate the 2016 Hybrid drivetrain and the fuel efficiency has been improved by 12-15 percent.

Beside this, 991’s customers will get a full-length sunroof, 19-inch wheels as standard for the Carrera and 20-inch on the Carrera S.

At Nurburgring the 991 S’s lap time is 7.50 m and 8.04 for the Carrera.
