Are you, by any chance, a fan of the signature PS4 exclusive car racing game from Polyphony Digital, the Gran Turismo 6? If so, you are in for a treat. You will be getting a new vehicle model to add to your virtual collection of cars pretty soon, this time from a German automaker.
Behold the Volkswagen GTI Supersport Vision Gran Turismo (GT). According to the German marquee, this vehicle will be available exclusively for the Gran Turismo 6 game title.
Just as a kind reminder, last year, the very same automaker announced the GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo concept and this new vehicle here is the successor to that previously announced model. This time around, however, VW is offering a hardcore hatchback with three doors in addition to a body kit that is extremely wide. In addition, the car has also been well equipped with flared wheel arches, carbon fiber splitter on the front end and also a carbon fiber rear wing spoiler that looks prominent.
Gamers counting on this vehicle model in particular while racing in the Gran Turismo 6 will also benefit from dual metallic exhaust pipes, a rear diffuser, LED daytime running lights and LED headlamps.
Unfortunately, as far as performance is concerned, there is no word yet on what engine the car will be packing under its hood. However, if we are to refer to last year’s concept car from VW, we may as well expect a 3.0L TSI VR6 engine with twin turbochargers. This engine should be able to deliver 503 bhp of power and 665 Nm of torque. The car should have its power sent to all wheels with the help of a 7-speed DSG transmission and a 4MOTION all-wheel-drive (AWD) drivetrain.
It is believed that the VW GTI Supersport Vision GT will have its world premiere when the Worthersee event takes place in Austria next month. Then, gamers all around the world will be able to enjoy driving the car virtually in the Gran Turismo 6 racing title on their beloved PS4 gaming console.
