Volkswagen has initiated the R-Line version of the Touareg in the UK, along with a price cut for the CC.
The Touareg R-Line is based on the Altitude trim and adds additional equipment and typical R-Line styling cues which together are worth more than 4,000 GBP but they are available for only a 750 GBP premium. The SUV rides on 20-inch alloys with 275/45 R20 tires and comes with modified front and rear bumpers, as well as new side skirts, bi-xenon headlights, LED DRLs and R-Line badges.
Inside it has exclusive R-Line sill plates, keyless entry & start, full-length panoramic electric sliding glass sunroof and an electrically-powered tailgate. The cabin also has leather upholstery, satellite navigation, audio system with 8-inch color touchscreen display, Bluetooth and DAB.
Power gets boost from a V6 3.0-liter diesel with 204 HP (150 kW) or 245 HP (180 kW) connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Prices begin from 44,025 GBP for the less powerful engine, while with the beefier unit starts from 45,645 GBP.
The Volkswagen CC would be at least 470 GBP cheaper than last year and its starting price would come to 24,050 GBP.
The best-selling CC GT 2.0-liter TDI 140 PS version is now 1,320 GBP cheaper since it doesn’t come with the Adaptive Chassis Control anymore.
There is no word yet on the specifications and performance related matters which are essential elements of a vehicle.
