Officials identified the woman who died after an out-of-control car collided with her home and struck her on Monday evening in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
On the other hand, a man and woman who were inside the car ran from the scene of the accident and are still at large.
The crash took place in the 5100 block of McClellan Street. Witnesses informed police the car was headed northbound when it struck some parked unoccupied automobiles. Soon after that, the car slammed the home. Investigators believe speed may have been a relevant factor in the crash.
When police arrived at the home, they saw the car had gone through the wall, leaving the woman inside pinned underneath it.
Gwendolyn Martin, 63, died due to injuries to the chest and her death was ruled an accident.
Officials have informed her family about the incident.
Witnesses also informed police there was a man and woman inside the car at the time of the crash, and they ran away from the scene before first responders attended the scene.
K9 officers attempted to track them down but haven’t caught them so far. Officers spoke with some witnesses who advised that the vehicle was moving northbound on McClellan Street.

How can it be ruled an accident before you know what caused it.
