Opel Motor’s announced the Pricing information of its Opel Astra OPC, which falls at $42,990 in the Australian, and the car would be arriving in February. And this piece of news has been confirmed as to flagship Astra’s return to Australia where it previously sold under the Holden and HSV banners.

As per the reports, the new the Astra OPC will sit above the existing GTC model, with a 2.0 litre turbo four delivering 206kW/400Nm, promising a proper performance advantage over the GTC’s 132kW/230Nm 1.6 litre turbo, and with that engine it would do the 0-100km/h sprint in 6.0 seconds.

As with the production GTC, Astra OPC uses Opel’s HiPerStrut front suspension design, but adds FlexRide multi-mode dampers, a mechanical LSD and Brembo brakes to help deal with the 2.0 litre’s performance. And some standard features for the range-topping Astra includes 19-inch alloy wheels, adaptive dampers, nappa leather sports seats with heating, Bluetooth connectivity and a satellite navigation and infotainment system with 7-inch colour screen.

This should be noted that in Australia, the Astra OPC will be offered with three option packs which would include, Opel’s AFL+, a premium forward-lighting pack priced at $2000, unique 20-inch alloy wheels for $1000 and Opel’s premium paint priced at $695.
