The Ford GT-inspired super car developed by Galpin Auto Sports will make unveiled at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance next month.
The GTR1 is based on the Ford GT and comes fitted with a 5.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine capable of generating mammoth 1,024 hp (764 kW) and 739 lb-ft (1,001 Nm) of torque. GAS also stated that the model will be able to hit a top speed of more than 225 mph (362 kmph).
The GAS GTR-1 will come with quite a few features such as a hand-crafted aluminum body produced by Metalcrafters which is five inches wider than the Ford GT, 20-inch forged alloy wheels well wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero tires, with stopping power coming from six-piston brakes with full carbon rotors. Other highlights of the model include jeweled head and taillights, as well as several carbon fiber accents, McIntosh audio system, machined aluminum instrument cluster and leather upholstery.
Production of the GTR1 will be extremely limited and customers will have an option to pick from a carbon fiber or aluminum body. Further details about the same would be revealed in August, including details such as the final technical specs and pricing.
