1957 Aston Martin DBR2 is a real beauty. Only two DBR2s were ever made. Recent sale of a DBR2 fetched a price of £1,750,000.
Now this dream car can be yours as Phoenix based Rizk Auto is recreating this classic sports car using modern technology.
Surely recreations lack the history and that special feel that comes with an old classic car, but in many ways they are better.
Rizk Auto’s DBR2 is built on a carbon monocoque chassis that weighs only 220 lbs (100 kg). Carbon-fiber body with Nomex body panels weighs less than 100 lbs (45 kg).
For the first time in a car NASA developed Aerogel is used as heat insulator. This stunning recreation has all the beauty of the original car combined with aerospace technology.
Customers can choose between three engines: Jaguar Straight 6 cylinder with triple SU or Weber Carburetor, Jaguar V-12 Cylinder with triple SU or Weber Carburetor and Fuel Injected Corvette LS3 V8 Engine. Depending on the engine total weight is around 2100 pounds ( 952 kg).
Price? According to Mr. Rizk with a straight-six Jaguar engine it will cost around $180,000 USD. For more details contact Rizk Auto.

$180,000 USD? Yeah, why not. It’s a beautiful kit car
I just read the mid-2010 version of a similar article, sans photos.
To me it looks like a Jag from years ago.
Just keep playing the lottery.
