Two people died following a car crash in Kent County, Michigan on Monday.
The crash took place just before 6 p.m. in Courtland Township.
A 21-year-old man of Wyoming was driving westbound and passed a semi that was hauling gravel on the right side. The car lost control and ran off the road before hitting a tree.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
A woman passenger was admitted to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Names of the involved were not released at this time.
Michigan State Police is investigating the crash.
