2 dead after car hits pole in Willowbrook, Los Angeles

Two people died and one person is in critical condition after a car hit a pole in Willowbrook, Los Angeles, California on Saturday night.

It was about 9:45 p.m. when a car hit a pole at West El Segundo Boulevard and South Main Street.

It was initially reported that people were trapped inside the car.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene.

Another person, who is in critical condition, was hospitalized.

Some reports also said the crash took place as the car was being pursued by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officials.

California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
