Two killed after car crash on Highway 167 in Vermilion Parish

Two people died after a car crash on Saturday night on Highway 167 in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana.

The crash took place when an 18-year-old identified as Ramsie Baumgardner, of Maurice was traveling south on U.S. 167 while Brandon Issac, 31 of Carencro was moving north in the southbound lane.

The two vehicles had a head-on crash in the inside lane.

Both were admitted to a local hospital where both succumbed to their injuries.

Both were using seatbelts.

The crash is still under investigation as toxicology reports are yet to produce result.
