Two people were killed after a car crash on Sunday in Houston, Texas at about 3 a.m.

The crash took place on the Sam Houston Tollway feeder road when the driver of a Ford F-150 went off the road at a high rate of speed and struck a concrete support pillar near the Katy Freeway.

The driver and the passenger, a woman, and a man in their 20s, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials believe alcohol may have played a factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by Houston police.
